What people ask before their DGIP appointment.

Does this work for the e-passport and the MRP renewal?

Yes. DGIP uses the same 35×45 mm white-background spec for both the e-passport (gold cover) and the older MRP, including renewal, replacement and child applications.

Can I use it for NICOP and POC?

Yes. NADRA's NICOP and POC applications use the same 35×45 mm white-background passport-style photo. The single photo works for both.

Will this be accepted at Pakistan consulates abroad?

Yes. Pakistan consulates in the US, UK, Saudi Arabia, UAE and Europe follow the DGIP / NADRA spec for passport, NICOP, POC and CNIC renewal.

Glasses, beard, head covering — are they OK?

No glasses (clear or tinted). A neat beard is fine — facial features must remain visible. Religious head coverings (hijab, dupatta, turban) are accepted as long as the face from chin to forehead is fully visible and not shadowed.

What if I'm rejected at the office?
